Wanda V. Krause, 75, passed away March 4, 2004 at her home in Hot Springs, AK. Wanda was born March 29, 1928 in Rural S. Dakota. Daughter of Albert and Wilhelmina Krueger. She attended Rural schools. She ws baptised on April 22, 1928 and confirmed on March 30, 1944 at St. Paul Lutheran Church by Rev. C.E. Eifert. In the early 1940’s Wanda moved to Chicago, IL and worked with her sister, Johanna, in the offices at Michael Reese Hospital. She went on to work as a switchboard operator at the Chicago Transit Authority where she met her late husband John F. (Jack) Krause. In 1963 she and her husband moved to North Miami, Florida where she worked as a switchboard operator at the Singapore Hotel in Miami Beach until she retired in 1989 and moved to Hot Springs, AK. She was a devoted member of First Lutheran Church of Hot Springs until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Johanna Jackson and Margaret Schoon; brother, Christian Krueger; and her parents. She is survived by her beloved godchildren, Jocasta Harbuck and Jimmy Jackson of Texas and Kimberly Moos of So. Dakota; also brother, Alfred Krueger; sisters, Agnes Stern and Laura Gross all of So. Dakota; brother-in-law, Dr. James Jackson of Texas and numerous other beloved nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation Wednesday 7 to 9 p.m. at Donnellan Funeral Home, 10525 S.
