Stephen John Stolton, a Buffalo Grove resident and retired Maine Township Clerk, died March 2 with family at his bedside. He was 75. A native of Milwaukee, WI and a Park Ridge, IL resident for 30 years, Mr. Stolton retired in 1988 as a district sales manager for Fina Oil and Chemical Co. In 1981 he was elected to the office of Maine Township Clerk, where he served three four-year terms. Mr. Stolton was a past president of Camp Charles Allis Association, a cooperative camp located on Lake Beulah in East Troy, WI. His favorite place was Glacier National Park in Montana. A wake will be held on March 7 at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Rd., Elk Grove Village, from 3 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service is scheduled for March 8 at St. Hillary Episcopal Church in Prospect Heights at 10 a.m. In addition to his wife, Geraldine, survivors include four daughters, Jeannine Hilgers of Cary, NC, Denise Moser of Arlington Heights, IL, Patricia McDonald of Ellicott City, MD and Florence Fisher of Charlotte, NC; one son, Stephen M. Stolton of Mount Prospect, IL; a sister, Margaret Pagenkop of Milwaukee; two nephews and a niece; and six grandchildren.
