Things just keep getting better for the Fab 5 of Bravo’s “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.”

– With a title to defy short attention spans, the new book “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy: The Fab 5’s Guide to Looking Better, Cooking Better, Dressing Better, Behaving Better and Living Better” (Clarkson Potter, $27.50) was at No. 7 on the nonfiction hardcover best-seller list last week. (Its glossary includes such “Queer” entries to the pop-culture dictionary as “tszuj, tszujing,” defined as “Finesse, tweak, re-arrange and make better. Garmento-speak co-opted by Carson, possibly of Yiddish origin.”)

– The Capitol Records CD “What’s That Sound? Music From Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” debuted at No. 39 on the Billboard 200 albums chart last month. (It includes the theme “All Things Just Keep Getting Better” by Widelife and tracks from Kylie Minogue, Sting, Liz Phair, Elton John and Duran Duran.) At last check, it was on sale for $14.99 at Virgin Megastore.
