Jack White’s going to have to control that rock star temper of his.

White pleaded guilty to assault and battery Tuesday for his Detroit dust-up with Von Bondies singer Jason Stollsteimer in December. The White Stripes singer isn’t headed to jail, but he has to pay $750 in fines and fees. The judge also ordered White to attend anger management classes and to avoid contact with Stollsteimer.

That would be a good thing, considering the eye job White gave him: Stollsteimer told police White punched him seven times in the face.

On Tuesday, Jack gave his version of the story, saying he hadn’t seen Stollsteimer in a long time but had heard he had made some allegations against him in the press and to mutual acquaintances.

“I went up to ask him to say it to me face to face,” White said. He said Stollsteimer ignored him so White spit at him and they started fighting.
