Lynne Pappas, 65, of Stuart, FL, died Friday, March 5, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Originally from Hammond, Indiania, she resided part time in Stuart since 1984 and moved here permanently in 1999 from Olympia Fields, Illinois. Lynne attended Indiana University and was a member of Delta, Delta, Delta Sorority. She also was a member of Willoughby Golf Club. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, George J. Pappas of Stuart; one son John G. Pappas and his wife Jennie of Indianapolis, IN; daughter Tracy Anne Pappas; her mother Margaret McKenzie of Hammond, IN and a granddaughter Ariana Christine Emmons of Port St. Lucie, FL. She also leaves behind in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many life long and recent friends. She died as she lived, as everyone’s friend. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 15 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 2525 S. 25th Street, Ft. Pierce, FL.
