John “Jack” R. Hosty Sr., 72, longtime Oak Park resident and founding member of the Chicago Board Options Exchange, died peacefully after a long illness on March 11, 2004. Jack served as a Marine officer in the Korean War. Beloved husband of Marilyn, nee McNichols; loving father of Jeanne (Kent) Eckstrom, John Jr. (Barbara), Edward (Susan) and Mark (Tina); fond grandfather of Zachary Eckstrom, John III, Morgan and Reagan; beloved uncle to many; fond brother of Patricia Donoghue and the late Thomas Jr. and William Sr. Visitation Sunday 2 to 9 p.m. at Peterson Funeral Home, 6938 W.
