Susie Rieden, age 92, of Pleasant Prairie, WI, passed away March 8, 2004 at Grande Prairie Health & Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Prairie. She was born September 10, 1911 in Whiting, IN to Alex and Mary, nee Tryen, Bock. She was united in marriage to William Rieden, who preceded her in death on March 7, 1974. Following marriage she resided in Chicago until moving to Pleasant Prairie where she had been a resident for the past 2 years. Susie was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening. She was very giving and was always willing to help anyone who was in need of it. She loved visiting Mars Cheese Castle, spending time on her brother’s farm, and Sunday drives. Susie was a very hard worker and worked part time until she was 81 years of age. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Grace Drezdon; nieces, Sharon (William) Malicki, Debra (Marvin) Street and Sarah Temperly; great-nephew, David Malicki; special friends, Stella Zelasko and Sophie, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Bill, Steve and George, sisters, Anna, Julia and Mary. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2004 at 1 p.m. at Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. David F. Monroe officiating. Burial will follow at Yorkville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Saturday, March 13, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Memorials have been suggested to the Grande Prairie Health & Rehabilitation Center.
