Recently, while driving north on the Sheridan speedway to Evanston, I saw two cars blast through red lights in the span of two minutes. Later I saw another car drive through a red light just as a woman and a child were about to step into the crosswalk.
Maybe next time one of these drivers will strike a pedestrian or another vehicle and suffer a blow much greater than a mere ticket–the guilt of taking another person’s life.
