Jeffrey Ryg, 85 years old, born in Ottawa, IL, a 55-year resident of Park Ridge, died on March 11, 2004 in Crystal Lake. Mr. Ryg was a WWII Army Staff Sergeant in the 185th Infantry Division serving the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He married Elizabeth “Betty”, nee Floyd, in 1946. Mr. Ryg worked as a building contractor for over 40 years. He was a lifelong member of the Order of the Elks. Survivors include his wife; and sons Chris (Patti) Ryg, Gary (Paulette) Ryg and Scott (Debbie) Ryg. Loving grandfather of seven – Jeff Ryg, Sarah Ryg, Jessica (Jim) Reinhart, Julie Ryg-German, Rocco Ryg, Kristen Nash and Brandon Ryg. He was the beloved great-grandfather of six; and the adoring owner of chihuahuas Buddy and Holly.
