John “Jack” Henry Smith, 77, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at his home. Mr. Smith was born April 16, 1925 at Herrin, Illinois, a son of the late William Henry and Delilah, nee Harmon, Smith. He was a former Air Force Veteran and a retired pilot for American Airlines. Mr. Smith was a Baptized Jehovah’s Witness. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Smith. Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Mary E., nee Griffin, Smith of Conway; a daughter, Renee Marie Fernandez and husband, John of Conway; a brother, Robert Smith of Galveston, Texas and his grandchildren, Michaella, Sean and Megan Fernandez all of Conway. Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2004, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Conway, Arkansas.
