Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I’m on election overload already and they’ve only just begun to unload. And we ain’t heard nothin’ yet.

I do not know how I am going to survive the next eight months. Yes, friends, count ’em. Eight whole months of being bombarded by messages from every conceivable candidate, direction and medium–it numbs the mind.

Flawed as many think it is, however, it’s what we do. Although not to the current decibel level, it’s what we’ve always done.

I thank God every flag-waving, hat-off, anthem-singing day that we have the freedom to do it.

But I would thank him even more if the whole process didn’t cost such incredibly huge sums of money and, even more than that, didn’t start until Labor Day.
