Three Oaks Montessori School withdrew its request for a permit to build a second day-care site at 10 S. Linden Ave., adjacent to its existing facility.
Rejection by the Village Council and opposition from neighbors concerned with traffic in the residential neighborhood and parking problems prompted property owner Liz Marton to withdraw the proposal.
Marton plans to submit a proposal that calls for a mixed-use building that will include a day-care center, office space and underground parking.
Although the village has seen a conceptual plan for the new proposal, a formal application has yet to be filed.
