The America of the future will be older and more diverse, according to a Census Bureau projection to be released Thursday. In 2050, minority groups will comprise 49.9 percent of the population, with Asians and Hispanics seeing the most dramatic increases. Nearly 21 percent of U.S. residents will be age 65 or older, compared with 12 percent now.
