Robert K. Burns Sr., of McHenry, beloved husband of Marcella, nee Billeck; loved father to Robert K. (Karen) Burns Jr. of McHenry; the late Richard J. Burns; grandfather to Rob Burns III of Washington State as a fishery biologist; Kelly Burns, graduate artist of McHenry; sister-in-law Joan Billeck by marriage; son Russ (Bonnie Stewart of Chicago; daughter Marcie (Bill) Stewart Pyziak; life long participant in the electronics industry. He began his career with Belden Wire & Cable in the 1930’s, National Distributor Sales Manager for Cinch, Jones Connectors in the 1950’s, Grammer Halderson transformer, Stancor transformers, he helped establish a distribution network for Oak Switch division in the 1960’s, Original founding member of Electronic Young Tigers in the 1950’s which was a fraternal extreme golf and gin rummy social organization. Found his own Rep firm, Bob Burns & Associates in 1968, retired in 1995 with the firm run by second generation. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 from 9 to the time of services at 11 a.m. at Colonial Fuenral Home, 591 Ridgeview Dr., McHenry. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
