– General Motors is not shipping some 2004 full-size pickup, sport-utility vehicles and vans because of a problem that could cause transmissions to fail. A faulty pump may prevent lubrication from reaching overdrive gearset bearings in the transmissions, produced at its Willow Run transmission plant. GM is notifying vehicle owners, but there is no recall because GM says it is not a safety issue.
