Actor Morgan Freeman will leap from “Driving Miss Daisy” to piloting the pace car at the 88th running of the Indianapolis 500 May 30. Freeman, the Academy Award nominated chauffeur in the film, will be behind the wheel of a white and blue 2004 Chevrolet Corvette convertible at Indy. Freeman joins other celebrities who have driven the pace car, including actors Jim Garner, Jim Caviezel and Anthony Edwards, and comic Jay Leno. Freeman, who has attended racing school in North Carolina, will get additional training on the Indy track.
