– General Motors will recall more than 4 million 2000-04 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups to replace tailgate support cables that may corrode and fracture.

– GM is recalling 93,572 1995-97 Oldsmobile Aurora sedans because fuel can leak into the engine and start a fire. The nylon tubing used in the fuel rail can degrade and crack, causing fuel to leak. NHTSA has received 123 complaints about the problem. Owners will be notified this spring of GM’s plans to repair the vehicles.

– Chrysler Group is recalling 34,561 2004 Chrysler Pacificas and 14,621 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokees because their engines could stall without warning and cause a crash.

– Subaru is recalling about 127,580 2001-2004 Outback H-6 and Impreza WRX turbo vehicles because a possible defect in the cruise-control system can leave throttles wide open.
