The nixed suicide plot for Britney Spear’s new “Everytime” video isn’t dead after all.
The pop tart originally was supposed to overdose in a bathtub, but she revised the scene because of criticism.
The video, shot last week, now shows a frustrated Spears finding solace in a hotel bathtub after being besieged by paparazzi, US Weekly reports. Her head goes underwater, and champagne and pills are shown nearby.
“It’s unmistakenly an accidental death,” says an on-set source quoted in the magazine. “It was an emotional scene. Everyone was crying.”
Spears is rushed to the hospital, where her soul leaves her body, just as a newborn is handed to its mother. “One life ends, another begins. Britney is reborn,” the source says.
Besides being reborn, Spears also will be rescheduling. An April makeup date is being negotiated for her Friday concert at Allstate Arena. It was canceled after she hurt herself during a show last week.
