TIE: Blackhawks goalie Michael Leighton saved his best for overtime. Leighton made 39 saves–nine in the extra period–to help the Blackhawks hold on for a 2-2 tie with the Phoenix Coyotes on Sunday.

Among his saves in overtime, Leighton made two point-blank saves while the Coyotes were on a power play, then he stopped a two-on-none break.

LOST: Six White Sox pitchers gave up 21 hits in eight innings, and Chicago’s top six hitters managed a total of four hits during a 12-2 pounding by the Seattle Mariners.

WON: Sammy Sosa hit a tiebreaking single and Derrek Lee went 3-for-3 to help the Cubs beat the San Diego Padres 7-6.

WON: The Rush kept its lead in the Central Division by routing Orlando 58-15 in Arena Football on Sunday. The 43-point margin of victory was the largest in Rush history. Chicago (5-1) forced three turnovers in the first half in building a 20-point lead.
