David A. Zakes, age 63, passed away suddenly Friday, March 19, 2004. David lived in Lockport for four years formerly of New Lenox. David is survived by his loving wife Doris (nee Foster) Zakes; three daughters, Lora (Jim) Longo Jr., Marilyn (Dan) LaLuntas and Julie (Bob Slager) Zakes; two grandchildren, Nicole Longo and Jimmie Longo III; one sister Mary Louise Zakes; one brother Mike Zakes. David was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary (nee Wilkus) Zakes; brother Douglas Zakes. Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, Monday, March 22, 2004 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Lockport City Cemetery.
