Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center: 305 W. Jackson Ave., 630-848-3613. 1.2 acres. 60 parking spaces, restrooms. The center is home to the Naperville Park District’s New Horizons Program for resident senior citizens as well as several early childhood programs and dance curriculum. In addition, there is a community room and four classrooms available to rent for meetings, parties or special events. To arrange for a room rental, call 630-848-3608.
The Barn Recreation Center: 421 W. Martin Ave., 630-848-3608. 2,700 square-foot facility. The building has four classrooms and can be rented for meetings, parties or special events.
Centennial Beach: 500 W. Jackson Ave., 630-848-5090. Web site: www.napervilleparks.org/index.asp ageID=435. The historical Naperville landmark offers swimming, sand, sun, picnicking and recreation activities from May to September.
Knoch Knolls Park: 336 Knoch Knolls Rd., 630-848-5000. 217.35 acres. 2 soccer fields, 2.2 trail miles, a 9-hole disc golf course, restrooms, 50 parking spaces. Open year-round.
Knoch Park Tennis Hut: 724 S. West St., 630-420-9703. Eight lighted tennis courts. Call or visit the Knoch Park Tennis Hut to reserve courts up to three days in advance. Reservations are generally available from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekends. School matches, park district lessons, and scheduled activities have priority over public play. Racketing system and rules are posted at each tennis court.
Naperville Park District Garden Plots: 811 S. West St., 630-848-5000. Avid gardeners who don’t have much space to tend at home may reserve one of the Naperville Park District’s 700 plus garden plots located on West Street, across from Knoch Park. Each plot measures 19 feet by 30 feet, and there are several locations where gardeners can fill their watering cans. Registration is held in early spring.
Naperbrook Golf Course: 22204 111th St., Plainfield, 630-378-4215. Web site: www.napervilleparks.org/index.asp ageID=524. 166.749 acres. An 18-hole, 6,755-yard, links-style course features four sets of tees, ranging from forward tees to back tees. Course amenities include a 10-acre driving range, practice bunker, separate teaching tee, and a 10,000-square foot practice green. The Clubhouse provides golfers with a pro shop.
The Paddleboat Quarry: On the Riverwalk, near the corner of Jackson Avenue and Eagle Street, 630-848-5000. The area is used for fishing and riding paddleboats Paddleboats operate on non-school days, May through Labor Day (weather permitting), from 10 a.m. to one hour before dusk. Children 13 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
The Naperville Park District Skate Park: 2720 95th St. Web site: www.napervilleparks.org/index.asp ageID=436. The facility consists of a half-pipe, two quarter-pipes, fun boxes and several grinding rails. The park has vending machines and a shade pavilion for spectators and skaters. The park is an unsupervised facility that is free of charge for Skateboarders and In-line skaters. Bicycles, scooters and other wheeled or sliding devices are prohibited from using the skate park. Safety rules and warnings are posted at the facility. The skate park is open for skating during daylight hours only (sunrise to sunset).

Sportsman’s Community Clubhouse in Sportsman’s Park: 735 S. West St., 630-848-5000. Web site: http://napervillesportsmansclub.org/. The clubhouse and trapshooting facility at Sportman’s Park is located on West Street across from Knoch Knolls Park. The park includes a clubhouse where programs and club meetings are held. The trapshooting season at Sportsman’s Park begins each spring.
