John Pappalardo, age 82, lifelong Chicago Heights resident, passed away unexpectedly March 20 in Cape Coral, FL. Husband for 56 years of Rose, nee Anzelmo; father of Frank Pappalardo and the late Richard (Tina) Zagone; grandfather of Kathleen “Kitty” Gillette, Rick and the late Jeffrey Zagone; brother of Angelo and the late James, Phillip and Joseph Pappalardo; great-grandfather of Jeffrey, Matthew and Christopher Gillette and Ricky, Anthony and Nicholas Zagone; beloved uncle and friend of many. John retired as a foreman for P. Salce Construction where he had worked for over 43 years. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 blks.
