Kay Rasco, Ph.D., died Feb. 26 after battling brain cancer for nine months. B.A. and M.A., University of Mississippi; Ph.D., Northwestern. Taught English at New Trier High School, De Paul Univ., American Univ. in Cairo, Al Azhar Univ. Cairo, Egypt. Master teacher at Yale, summers in ’60’s. Manager of area sales, Merrill Lynch Realty, 1983-89. Owned Sarah Bustle Antiques Evanston, 1989-2002. President, Evanston Lighthouse Rotary, 1999-2000. Loving wife of Lavon Rasco; beloved mother of Manfred Ray Sr., Francine Rasco (Chip Elliott) and Karen Rasco (David Wilhelm); grandmother of Manfred Ray Jr. (Marcella Bicoff) and Jennifer Ray; devoted great-grandmother of Isabela Ray; sister of Marie Dicus; also survived by nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be conducted Friday, April 2, with family at the visitation between 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 10045 Skokie Blvd., at Old Orchard Road, Skokie.
