The Cubs possibly have added another left-hander to the bullpen in Andy Pratt by trading Juan Cruz to the Braves. But before he leaves, Cruz should bequeath his title of “pet project” to Sergio Mitre.

That was really nice of the island of Curacao, Randall Simon’s home, to give Sausage Girl Mandy Block a free vacation. Block had fun on the island and swam with some dolphins but made sure to stay away from the clubs.

The Bears will have started another mini-camp Friday without making major improvements to any unit besides the offensive line–the only players who usually aren’t allowed to touch the ball.

RedEye told you about the winless but popular Japanese racehorse in a previous edition. Well, the mare extended her losing streak to 106 this week, making her the only living creature to fail at closing more often than Billy Koch.
