Bernard J. Minton, beloved husband of Dorothy; loving father of Michael Minton, Marsha Ulbrich, Margie Byron, Monica Leone and Mary (Tim) Marwitz; cherished grandfather of Melanie (Jason) Jasnoch, Michael (Kami), Morgan and Annie Minton, Lisa (Terry) Duprez, Rick (Sheila) and Jeff Ulbrich, Michelle (Eric) Hugg and Dan (Stacey) Byron whom Bernie and Dorothy raised, Rosemary Leone, Megan, Matt and Melissa Marwitz; greatgrandfather of Mackenzie and Christopher Duprez, Leah Ulbrich, Roger, Rachel and Robert Hugg; brother of Ralph (Ginger) Minton; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mabel Minton and by his siblings Rev. Robert Minton, Virgilene Baecher, David Minton and Mary Smith. A Navy Veteran of World War II and a devoted Catholic. Having accomplished a career with Kee Lox Manufacturing Co. He founded Centennial Office Products and was honored by Canon IV Office Products. Bernie was recognized as an accomplished golfer, a noted racing enthusiast, and a regular fan at the Notre Dame Stadium Football games. Funeral Tuesday, 9:45 a.m, from Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine to Holy Family Church, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness for Mass, at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Masses would be appreciated. Visitation Monday, 3 to 9 p.m. 773-736-3833
