– Audi is recalling nearly 173,000 1998-2004 A6, S6 and Allroad Quattros because of potential fires in the driver-side dashboard area. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the problem, caused by an electrical short, stemmed from a component that was interfering with the headlight switch wiring harness.
– Harley-Davidson is recalling 73,678 2001-03 FL Touring and Police model motorcycles because of a potential circuit-breaker defect. Harley says an unspecified glitch can cause the main circuit breaker to open inadvertently, which can shut down all electrical power to the motorcycle.
