Ethel Willin, nee Johnson, returned home to her Lord on March 26, 2004, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold. Ethel lived all of her 90 years in Chicago and its suburbs. She was a loyal member of Moraine Valley Community Church, where she spent many active years and had a wide circle of friends. In recent years, she lived at Peace Village in Palos Park, where her friends say she “always had a smile”. Her lively sense of humor brought smiles to the faces of others as well. Throughout her life, Ethel put the welfare of her family before all else. She and Harold provided their two daughters with a home filled with love, and rich in experiences. Ethel is survived by her daughters Bonnie (Don) Plautz and Jerilyn (Tim Boyd) Willin; as well as her two grandchildren Jeff (Carol) Plautz and Julie (John) Heller. She brighten the lives of all who knew her. A memorial service to celebrate Ethel’s life will be held Monday 11 a.m. at Moraine Valley Community Church, 8601 West 107th Street, Palos Hills.
