It was reported that an estimated 5,000 anti-war protesters marched in Chicago last weekend. This number falls approximately 395,000 short of the estimated number of people gassed, murdered and dumped into mass graves in Iraq courtesy of Saddam Hussein over the past decade.

It’s unfortunate that these protesters cannot see past their blind hatred of President Bush to realize the benefits of our actions in Iraq: Millions of Iraqis were freed from tyranny, a threat to our national security is now a prisoner and the hope of a democratic state now exists in the Middle East.

These are all remarkable accomplishments thanks to the bravery of our armed forces and the unbending leadership of our president.
