“The Apprentice” spinoffs have started.
Fox and the creators of “Joe Millionaire” and “My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance” are developing a show tentatively called “The Partner,” in which lawyers go up against one another to become a partner in a major law firm.
Variety reports that the show will feature two teams–one of Ivy Leaguers, the other graduates of less prestigious schools–competing in mock trials inspired by actual cases. A jury will decide who wins each week.
The losing team will then go in front of a Trump-like fictitious judge–not yet cast–to defend its work. The finale will feature two lawyers going head-to-head in a case.
