Marie E. Barnes, nee Berens, age 66, of Matteson, passed away on April 19. She was the beloved wife of Gene Barnes; loving mother of Edward R. (Charlene) Hebert, Kathleen E. (Robert) Larney, Suzanne Marie Cotugno and Katherine Norma (Robert) Swift; cherished grandmother “Gammie” of Thomas Edward, Nicole Marie, Edward R., Christopher (Christy), Anne, Peter and Norma Jean. Marie is survived by several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be Thursday, April 22 from 2 to 9 p.m. at Hirsch Lincolnway Chapel, 3501 West Lincoln Highway, Matteson, IL. Funeral Mass will be Friday, April 23 at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, 214th and Governors Hwy., Matteson. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
