The Web social network du jour, friendster.com, has a new rival.
Dodgeball.com is being described as Friendster for your mobile phone, according to market research firm Youth Intelligence.
If you’re at a coffee shop and want some company, Dodgeball will alert all of your enlisted friends of your whereabouts and, if you choose, even their enlisted Dodgeball friends within a
10-block radius. Call it 10 blocks of separation. So it’s not only an opportunity to meet new people, but also a potential great dating tool.
Although Dodgeball is still a New York thing, it shouldn’t be long before it hits other big cities.
And, thankfully, gym shorts are optional.
