Although the Tribune editorial board lauds President Bush for being a “president of strong beliefs who sticks to his convictions,” clinging to discredited ideas in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary is not a sign of strength; it is a symptom of tunnel vision and pigheadedness.

No doubt you feel the need to bolster the currently flimsy case for a second Bush term in advance of your inevitable endorsement, but could you please try to be a little less obsequious?
