Up with stem-cell research, but only in so far as it is not based on the destruction of another human. No worthy benefits can result from unethical research on embryonic stem cells nor from human cloning. Of course, a human embryo isn’t a human baby. Neither is it a senior citizen, an adult, an adolescent, a child, a toddler nor a fetus. Nonetheless, like all of these, it is a being, a live being, and no other type of being than a human being. As such it has an innate human dignity and a God-given inalienable right to life, of which no one (neither any legislative body, nor any court, nor any executive office) has the right to deprive it.
