1. New Trier (20-1): Jimmy Heinz scored the winning run on a throwing error as the Trevians nipped Deerfield 3-2 on Saturday. New Trier is 8-0 in the Central Suburban South.

2. Joliet Catholic (14-3): The Hilltoppers had the weekend off after their game Saturday was postponed due to wet grounds.

3. Lyons Township (16-4): The Lions defeated Leyden 3-2 on Thursday as Chris Gawenda hit a pinch-homer in the bottom of the 10th.

4. Lockport (18-4): The Porters’ contest with Thornton Fractional South on Saturday was rained out.They stand at 5-2 in the SICA West.

5. Minooka (20-3): The Indians defated Oswego 5-3 on Thursday and Bolingbrook 6-3 on Friday before taking Saturday off.

6. Brother Rice (20-3): The Crusaders improved to 10-1 in the Catholic League with a 4-1 win Thursday over Providence as Brett Schaefer homered.

7. St. Rita (19-3): The Mustangs are off until Monday’s Catholic League clash at Providence.

8. Waubonsie Valley (19-3): The Warriors took two of three from Neuqua Valley on the weekend. All three were one-run games.

9. Rolling Meadows (19-5): Bryan Block pitched a three-hitter over six innings as the Mustangs defeated Prairie Ridge 5-4 Saturday. They also lost to Schaumburg 13-3 on Friday.

10. Richards (19-4): The Bulldogs’ doubleheader with Sandburg was rained out on Saturday. They will play Argo on Monday.

Softball’s Top 10

RANK, TEAM

1. Lake Park (20-1): The Lancers split a pair of games Saturday. Geneseo defeated Lake Park 3-2 in 11 innings to win the Geneseo tournament title as Stephanie Blagaich suffered her first loss of the season.

2. Glenbard North (21-1): The Panthers’ Becky Evans allowed her first earned run of the season in a 2-0 loss to Wheaton Warrenville South on Friday.

3. Lockport (19-3): The Porters fell to Lincoln-Way Central 1-0 on Friday. They will be back in action on Tuesday against Stagg.

4. Glenbard South (19-2): The Raiders won three straight 1-0 games, including a victory over Plainfield South Saturday when Leslie Patsavas pitched a perfect game.

5. Barrington (17-2): Samatha Devvy’s two-hitter carried the Fillies to a 2-0 victory over Wheeling on Thursday.

6. Sandburg (17-3): Sara Olson pitched a no-hitter as the Eagles defeated Stagg 4-0 on Thursday to improve to 5-1 in the SICA West.

7. Kaneland (18-2): The Knights defeated Yorkville 4-2 on Thursday to improve to 3-1 in the Suburban Prairie North.

8. Oak Park (16-4): The Huskies defeated Downers Grove North 1-0 on Friday as Maura Lund pitched a one-hitter.

9. Minooka (18-4): The Indians stand at 4-0 in the Suburban Prairie South after Thursday’s 5-3 victory over Morris.

10. Lincoln-Way East (15-5): The Griffins defeated Andrew 8-7 on Thursday and are off until Tuesday’s clash with Lincoln-Way Central.

Girls soccer’s Top 10

RANK, TEAM

1. New Trier (17-0): The Trevians are on a roll, cruising through the Naperville Invitational with a 6-0 victory over Wheaton Warrenville South Saturday.

2. Neuqua Valley (15-2-1): A 2-1 loss to Naperville Central Saturday resulted in a sixth-place finish at the Naperville Invitational. The Wildcats defeated Larkin and Lyons the previous two days.

3. St. Charles North (11-1-2): The North Stars had a quiet weekend. They should have plenty of rest before playing Waubonsie Valley on Tuesday.

4. Lake Zurich (13-4-2): The Bears had Saturday off after posting a 3-0 win over Schaumburg on Friday.

5. Wheaton Warrenville South (10-2-2): Shocking 6-0 loss to top-ranked New Trier Saturday shouldn’t take away from second-place finish at the Naperville Invitational.

6. Lyons Township (10-2-2): After a 2-1 loss to Neuqua Valley Friday, the Lions tied Waubonsie Valley 1-1 at the Naperville Invitational.

7. Fremd (13-2-2): The Vikings downed Lincoln-Way East 3-0 for ninth place at the Naperville Invitational.

8. St. Viator (9-3-1): The Lions play Jacobs on Monday and Nazareth on Wednesday.

9. Stagg (11-0-1): The Chargers defeated Lincoln-Way Central 2-1 on Thursday before taking the rest of the weekend off.

10. Lake Forest (10-1-3): Cissy Ballen and Leah Hoagland scored as the Scouts defeated Mundelein 2-1 on Thursday.

Boys volleyball’s Top 10

RANK, TEAM

1. Wheaton Warrenville South (23-0): The Tigers swept through the Downers Grove South tournament, including a 25-14, 25-12 victory over Oak Park in Saturday’s title match.

2. Brother Rice (17-1): With a victory over Fenwick Thursday, the Crusaders improved to 7-0 in the Catholic League.

3. Oak Park (20-3): The Huskies claimed a runner-up finish in the Downers Grove South tournament after going 5-1 in the last three days.

4. Sandburg (19-4): The Eagles finished fourth at Downers South after dropping the third-place match to Lake Park on Saturday.

5. Addison Trail (22-2): The Blazers defeated Bartlett 25-14, 25-21 Thursday behind Danish Inamuddin’s nine kills.

6. Oak Lawn (14-4)*: The Spartans are 7-1 in the SICA North after Wednesday’s victory over Argo. (*- record through Thursday)

South after a 3-2 tournament record. They fell to defending state champ Glenbrook South in Saturday’s fifth-place match.

8. Wheaton North (15-4): The Falcons defeated Naperville Central in three games Thursday, but had the rest of the weekend off.

9. Lake Park (17-4): The Lancers capped off an impressive 4-1 showing at Downers South with a 25-17, 23-25, 25-17 win over Sandburg for the third place.

10. Kelvyn Park (23-5): The Panthers defeated Von Steuben 22-25, 25-16, 25-13 Friday as Gaston Lopez had 10 kills and 14 assists.
