Once a star at Stevenson High School and now a forward on the WNBA’s Indiana Fever, Tamika Catchings is back in commercials.
The 24-year-old is one of several players featured in new ads that you’ll see during the NBA playoffs on ESPN, TNT and ABC. The 6-foot-1 forward wears pale camouflage pants and a tank top in a spot called “This Is Who I Am.” She also was part of last year’s campaign.
Catchings, who rarely wears makeup in everyday life, spent about an hour in a makeup artist’s chair during filming for the promotion last month in Miami.
“I was like, ‘OK, are we done yet? Are we done yet?’ ” Catchings said. “And they were like, ‘One more thing, one more thing.’ “
The daughter of former NBA player Harvey Catchings has a career average of 19.2 points and 8.3 rebounds.
