It was deja vu for many “American Idol” fans Wednesday, after another shocking diva showdown: La Toya London and Fantasia Barrino facing elimination as the two bottom vote-getters.

Tuesday’s performances should have been enough to take all the intrigue out of the hourlong results show, but in the words of “Idol” judge Randy Jackson: “America got it wrong … again.”

After butchering “Everlasting Love” and a teary exit Tuesday, it seemed that Hawaii’s Jasmine Trias was a lock for ejection.

But it was London who was sent packing Wednesday night, as an appalled Trias looked on.

“Jasmine has a lot of thank you letters to write to Hawaii … but this just proves that America will decide who will win,” judge Simon Cowell said after the rain of boos from the audience quieted down.

Will a controversy boil over again? Will Trias become the next John Stevens?

We’ll find out … after the break.
