A day after Moises Alou made his father, Giants manager Felipe Alou, pay for a pitching switch with a walkoff home run, the younger Alou did it again. Felipe replaced lefty Scott Eyre with Felix Rodriguez in the seventh inning, and Moises hit a two-run shot to tie the game, 3-3.
“He didn’t try to ruin my trip,” Felipe Alou said. “I think he’s trying to do what he’s been doing for a while in the big leagues. When I went to the mound, I talked to the people involved in pitching to make sure that we didn’t give him a pitch to hit.
“And if we fell behind, turn the page and go to the next guy.”
DISABLED: The Cubs put Kerry Wood on the disabled list Thursday, retroactive to May 12. Wood said he didn’t feel any pain or discomfort during a bullpen session, but the Cubs want to make sure his sore triceps is completely healed before he rejoins the rotation.
WILD THING: Maddux threw a run-scoring wild pitch in the third inning.
