R.C. Longworth states that, “We know now that America’s adventure in Iraq will end badly” (Perspective, May 16). And Longworth knows this how precisely? He is, perhaps, a soothsayer? I think a little less cocksureness and a little more diffidence all the way around would be helpful in getting our country through this time of trial.
