– Base price of the 2005 Hummer H2 SUT is $51,995. The Adventure Series starts at $54,775 and the Luxury Series at $55,735. Prices do not include the $850 destination charge. The sport-utility truck has a cargo bed and a “midgate” behind the seats that folds to expand the cargo area. Sales begin in June.
– Volkswagen plans to bring out a four-seat, midsize convertible in 2006. The unnamed car will feature a retractable metal roof and will be positioned between the Golf and Passat. It is expected to compete with the Mercedes CLK roadster and BMW’s 3-Series, with a price of around $35,000. The new vehicle is based on the Concept C.
