British-born terrorism suspect Jack Roche pleaded guilty to plotting to bomb the Israeli Embassy in Canberra, on the 10th day of his trial Friday.

Roche, 50, had pleaded not guilty at the start of the trial, but on Friday changed his plea to guilty.

He faces a maximum sentence of 25 years for the charge of conspiring to damage the Israeli Embassy with explosives and harm diplomatic staff.

Justice Paul James Healy asked the jury to also return a verdict since they had attended the entire trial. The foreman said they found him guilty. Sentencing is Tuesday.
