Former U.S. Open champion Tom Kite shot a 71 in the rain-delayed sectional qualifier at Shadow Hawk Golf Club in Richmond, Texas, giving him his 31st consecutive trip to the U.S. Open. He’s tied for the third-longest streak–Jack Nicklaus has 44 straight, followed by Hale Irwin (33) and Gene Sarazen and Arnold Palmer (31).
