The death of President Ronald Reagan marks the loss of a great American.

As a veteran who proudly served under Reagan, I commanded a flight of Minuteman nuclear missiles.

During his presidency, I saw the start of a reduction in those weapons as well as the fall of communism and the Berlin Wall–all accomplished without firing a shot.

President Bush, who supposedly models himself on Reagan, has gone to war in Iraq on essentially a lie: no weapons of mass destruction.

Ronald Reagan was the great communicator; George Bush is the great obfuscator.
