Does anyone who remembers Ronald Reagan’s presidency believe he would support embryonic stem-cell research? Invoking the former president’s name to champion stem-cell research is unseemly and unfair. He cannot speak for himself. Supporting needed stem-cell research is important. Co-opting Reagan’s support posthumously is inappropriate.
