It seems that people who wrote some of the letters you published on June 13 aren’t too close to nature. For example, as far as other species destroying their young, I have seen a sow devour her newly birthed piglets, presumably because she detected a human smell. Also no fertilized bird egg will hatch unless it is nested, usually by the mother bird. And it is well known that no fertilized human ovum will become a fetus unless it is affixed to the uterine wall.
