– Volvo’s 2005 V50 station wagon will start at $25,660 for a front-wheel-drive 2.4i model. Base prices on the turbocharged T5 model will be $27,260 with front-wheel-drive and $28,910 with all-wheel-drive. The prices do not include the $685 destination charge. All models have 5-cylinder engines. The 2.4i has a 2.4-liter that achieves 168 horsepower and the T5 models a 2.5-liter with 218 h.p. The V50 wagon, derived from the S40 sedan, goes on sale in July.

– Ford has unveiled a concept Focus at the China Auto Show that features more interior and trunk space and European styling. Ford plans a $1.5 billion expansion of its operations with its Chinese joint ventures, to boost production capacity to 150,000 a year, from 20,000.
