In your great listing of unusual, informative, well-written magazines, you have left out a category: Irresistible (“50 best magazines,” Tempo, June 17). When I have been thoroughly bombarded with news, photos and bios of the rich and famous, I turn to a magazine that is thoroughly eye-catching–glorious covers, tantalizing writing and even ads that take more than a casual glance. Coastal Living Magazine leaves all others in the shade on layout and beauty, and whether the reader is ever going to touch a toe into the ocean or not, the magazine is the next best thing to living a dream. Truly glorious leisure time reading.
