With many amusing responses to your “Q Challenge” asking readers to figure out how a Girl Scout might make sure customers pay for their cookies (“Chew on this, deadbeats,” July 4), I take issue with your decision to award first place to a response that used child sexual abuse as a platform for humor.

Child sexual abuse is no laughing matter and suggesting otherwise sends a dangerous message to abusers and to girls afraid to speak out against them.
