The Philippines’ recent pullout of troops from Iraq is a major mistake (“Filipino hostage freed after country’s pullout from Iraq,” News, July 21). By giving in to these evil, lunatic terrorist demands, they show a great weakness. If terrorists feel kidnapping works, they will continue to use it.
We must never give in to terrorist demands.
