– The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says complaints that some Toyota Camry, Camry Solara and Lexus ES300 vehicles have surged forward without apparent reason are unfounded. NHTSA had investigated the cars after reports of 30 crashes due to a possible defect. An estimated 1.01 million vehicles from the 2002 and 2003 model years were included in the investigation.
– Starting prices for the 2005 Pontiac G6 sedan are $20,675 for the base model and $23,300 for the GT. The prices do not include the $625 destination charge. The G6, which goes on sale in September, replaces the Grand Am. Next year, Pontiac will add a G6 convertible with a retractable hardtop, a coupe and a performance-oriented GTP model.
