Yolanda Berner, age 94 (looked 74!), Holocaust survivor, passed away July 28, 2004, devoted mother of Diana (Mort) Berner Lacher and Pam Carcerano; very proud grandmother of John, Lauren (Bruce), Carl, Michael (Lori) and Danny; great-grandmother “Grandma Yo” of Nicole and Adin; sister of Fanny, Hermine (Bernie), Edith and Morey (Romona); dear sister-in-law of Oscar (Elaine) and Julia (Max); beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews. Yolanda will be remembered as a determined, strong and feisty woman. At her request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Cancer Society, 312-372-0471.
